Seems to me that there is some limitation on ATI cards for
offscreen rendertargets. We create couple o them beside
of main render target (that one you see on the monitor)
for postprocess effects.
Try to switch off Bloom postprocess please...
Anyway I'll try to find some ATI card and try these
resolutions. I'm not able to reproduce it on my 6800GT,
8600GT, nor 8800GTX

switching off bloom doesn't help. I also tried to set all settings in the settings.cfg to "0" - does not work either.
Thx for coping with this problem. Alpha Prime is a very nice game with nice graphics. I actually like it much more than Lost Planet.
Handling (not sure if this is called handling in shooters) in Alpha Prime is just so smooth. Makes just hell of fun to play it. |

In order to try to help you, I've just tested Alpha Prime at all resolutions at my PC.
In the main menu > graphic options I could select the following resolutions:
640x480
720x480
720x576
800x600
848x480
960x600
1024x768
1088x612
1152x864
1280x720
1280x768
1280x800
1280x960
1280x1024
1360x768
1600x900
1600x1024
1600x1200
1920x1080
1920x1200
1920x1440
2048x1536
All resolutions worked fine.
Specifications of my stystem:
AMD X2 4800+ (S939)
nVidia GeForce 7800 GTX 512 MB
2 GB RAM PC3200 DDR
Windows XP Professional (SP2)
ForceWare 91.47
DirectX 9.0c |

That's bad! Today I've got one X1950Pro for testing, I went throught torture when replacing my 8800GTX hog with this one and it was worthless. All these 16:10 resolutions works fine! I'm really sorry, but until I'll find hardware configuration where I can reproduce this bug I can't do anything

OK, thanks for testing. So this may be a problem of software and drivers. Perhaps it works when I reinstall Windows. It is time for a reinstall anyway  |

We have fix for it already, but release will take some time, because of
many different language versions and different copyprotections.
We will hold this update for a while, because we need to resolve couple
of other issues too. Be patient, please

is there a chance for a patch al least?
i have the described problem with game-crash at 1440x900, too.
i tried to play on my desktop and my notebook, both with 1440x900 native resolution, but it doesn´t work on every system. The game crashes after the intro with "Alpha Prime" Logo before the menu. The cursor is in top left corner.
notebook: C2D5750, Geforce M8600GT 177.83, Vista 64bit, 4GB RAM
Desktop: Quad 6600, Geforce 8800 Ultra, latest WHQL, 4GB RAM, XP32bit |

I am having the same problem ,English version of the game at 1440/900 gives me black screen crash.
I have a macbook pro running XP,Core duo 2.4 gig,Nvidia 9600m gt,4gig ram. |
